SCPL - SciPlay Scientific Games end talks on acquisition

SciPlay (NASDAQ:SCPL) said discussions between its special committee of independent directors and Scientific Games (NASDAQ:SGMS) regarding SGMS' proposal to acquire the firm have terminated. The committee had actively engaged with SGMS to negotiate the terms of the deal but were unable to reach an agreement. In July 2021, Scientific Games proposed to acquire the 19% stake in SciPlay it does not currently own at a price of 0.25 SGMS share for each SCPL share.
