SDY - SDY: Dividends Have Offered Some Protection

• SDY is down for the year, but not by much. In contrast, the S&P is well into correction territory.
• This has been a great example of the power of quality and dividends. When the risk-off modes dominates, investors seek shelter in time-tested companies.
• SDY continues to be a staple of my portfolio. While I may want to get more aggressive at some point this year, I am going to sit tight with this position.
• Simply, I see more potential for losses in the broader market, and will wait it out with quality funds in the interim.
