SDY is a dividend aristocrat fund, and typically performs well, but is not usually a market beater.
As 2021 has progressed, this ETF has been a leader. It has benefited from the rush into quality dividend payers, especially in the Energy and Financial sectors.
Given the strong returns we have seen recently, I have to limit my expectations going forward. That said, I still believe SDY can finish the year higher than where it stands now.
