  • Sealed Air ( NYSE: SEE ) said Thursday it invested $9M in a solar farm that powering its Madera, California manufacturing facility.
  • The solar panels are expected to help reduce energy spend at the plant by $1M annually.
  • The 265K sq. ft. plant will have 98% of its electricity powered by the solar field.
  • In the first year, the solar farm will help avoid nearly 5K metric tons of carbon dioxide and ~72.2K metric tons of carbon dioxide over 15 years.
