Cory Booker (D-N.J.) said. "Now that a discussion draft of our legislation has been released we will start having conversations with the White House to get them behind our proposal," Booker said on Friday in a Twitter chat with constituents to discuss the Cannabis Administration and Opportunity Act . Booker, along with Sens. Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Wyden (D-Ore.) introduced the draft legislation earlier this month. Even if the bill was able to pass the Senate -- a feat some see as improbable given the number of Democrats who oppose it -- President Biden has long said he is opposed to cannabis legalization.
