SMTS - Sierra Metals announces Q1 production

Sierra Metals (SMTS) reports Q1 Silver production of 1.0M ounces (+1% Y/Y); Lead 9.0M pounds (-1% Y/Y); Gold 2,636 ounces (-28% Y/Y), Copper 7.9M pounds (-33% Y/Y); copper equivalent 25.5M pounds (-18% Y/Y); Zinc 24.1M pounds (+11% Y/Y) and Zinc equivalent 79.8M pounds (-6% Y/Y).Tonnes processed is +5% to 774,421 mt, with Daily throughput up to 8,851.At Yauricocha Mine, processed a quarterly record of 326,211 tonnes up 14%, despite the various operational challenges still posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Lower grades for all metals negated the impact of higher throughput resulting in a 21% decrease in copper equivalent pounds produced during Q1 2021 compared to a year ago. Daily ore throughput was ~3,728 tpd during the quarter.At Bolivar Mine, processed 371,608 tonnes down 2% due to lack of manpower due to COVID-19 and bad weather earlier during the quarter, combined with lower grades for all metals resulted in a 20% decrease in copper equivalent pounds produced during Q1 2021 as compared a year ago. Daily ore throughput was ~4,247 tpd during the quarter.At Cusi mine, processed 76,602 tonnes down 2%
