WORK - Slack CEO doesn't anticipate any problems with DOJ approval for Salesforce deal
Slack Technologies (WORK) CEO Stewart Butterfield doesn't expect that the U.S. Dept. of Justice will have any problems with Salesforce's (CRM) planned acquisition of the company.Butterfield's comments come after the company and Salesforce received a "second request" from the antitrust regulator last month.Butterfield said the review may be prolonged by the fact that there is the new Biden administration and the time it takes to name new leaders for the antitrust division."It's a little bit hard for people to move quickly in that kind of environment, but we don't anticipate any problems," Butterfield said in an interview on CNBC.Earlier, Slack Connect users can now direct message anyone on service.Recall March 11, Salesforce's planned purchase of Slack gets informal Australian review.
