WORK - Slack planning Instagram Stories-esque audio feature connections outside organizations
During its Frontiers conference, Slack ([[WORK]] +2.1%) announces that it's working on a feature that's the work equivalent of Instagram or Snapchat stories.Users will be able to record and post short video updates, such as outlining the day's agenda. Slack is still working on how exactly the integration will work.Slack also plans to introduce "always-available" audio, which would allow a channel user to spontaneously call a co-worker on the channel with a quick question or comment, the virtual equivalent of popping into someone's office for a chat.The features are still in prototype, but CEO Stewart Butterfield says they should launch this year.
