Since I last wrote about Smurfit Kappa (OTCPK:SMFTF) back in April the stock has appreciated by around 24%, compared to 19% for the S&P 500 which given the company's 5-year monthly beta of 1.0x means that the stock has so far outperformed the market.

Smurfit Kappa was also one of the best performers in its peer group, only second to Stora Enso (SEOAY) which returned nearly 50% over the period.
