The experiment of a closed league of Europe's biggest soccer clubs is falling apart, with eight teams withdrawing from the proposed European Super League.The English clubs were the first to withdraw yesterday and all six - Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea - are out.Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan have now withdrawn today, the Financial Times reports.That leaves Spain's Real Madrid, the chief proponent of the rival competition to UEFA's Champions League, and Barcelona and Italy's Juventus and AC Milan."Given the current circumstances, we shall reconsider the most appropriate steps to reshape the project, always having in mind our goals of offering fans the best experience possible while enhancing solidarity payments for the entire football community," the ESL said in a statement.Shares of Manchester United (MANU) fell 6% yesterday and are down 0.5% in premarket trading today.
