Social Capital Hedosophia Holdings Corp. V (IPOE) soars 25% after Reuters reports that online lending startup Social Finance (SOFI) is nearing a deal to go public by merging with the blank check company lead by VC investor Chamath Palihapitiya.The deal being considered would value SoFi at over $6B, according to people familiar with matter who told Reuters that either a deal could be announced within days or the talks could collapse.Palihapitiya-sponsored special purpose acquisition companies have already signed deals to take Opendoor and Clover Health public via mergers.
