• Socket Mobile ( NASDAQ: SCKT ) launched a wearable laser barcode scanner called DuraScan Wear DW930.
• The company said the product is the first wearable addition to its DuraScan product line.
• The wearable laser barcode scanner is aimed at meeting demands of industries such as warehousing, manufacturing and distribution.
• The company added that the product is immediately compatibility with Apple iOS devices, iPhone or iPad. For those using the company's CaptureSDK for scanning, DW930 will work right out of the box with no app updates required.
• The product is optimal for scanning scenarios which require the use of both hands. It also increases productivity by allowing workers to continue scanning without having to put the scanner down when moving items or operating machinery, according to the company.
