Solar stocks are lower across the board as a group of U.S. solar panel makers filed petitions with the U.S. Department of Commerce, calling for federal federal investigations into Chinese firms avoiding tariffs by manufacturing in other Asian countries. The top solar ETF (TAN -3.2%) plunges as much as 4% to its lowest in more than two months; also, SUNW -8.7%, NOVA -7.3%, JKS -5.9%, CSIQ -5.9%, MAXN -4.4%, SEDG -4.2%, SPWR -3.8%, RUN -2.8%, ENPH -2.7%. Many solar shares also fell yesterday as the Biden administration cracks down on alleged labor abuses in the Xinjiang region.
