That was well over expectations for $27 million-$35 million. It was the film to knock Eternals off of its two-week perch on top; the Marvel (DIS +0.7%) film drew $10.8 million in its third week to land at a cumulative $135.8 million (and $336.1 million worldwide). And Clifford the Big Red Dog (VIAC +0.3%, VIACA +0.3%) trailed those with $8.1 million in its second weekend. They were followed by the weekend's other wide debut in King Richard (T +2.4%), the biopic based on the life of the father of tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams, and starring Will Smith in the title role. It grossed a disappointing $5.7 million to open, but as with other 2021 releases
