MTAC - SPAC MedTech Acquisition shareholders approve TriSalus merger

MedTech Acquisition Corp. ( NASDAQ: MTAC ) shareholders have voted in favor of the SPAC's planned merger with oncology products developer TriSalus Life Sciences.

MTAC disclosed the vote in a filing. After the closing, shares of the combined company are expected to trade on Nasdaq under the symbol TLSI.

The SPAC and TriSalus announced plans to merge in November 2022, with the combined company estimated to have a market capitalization of around $244.4M upon closing.

TriSalus already has an FDA-cleared product, the TriNav Infusion System. The product, which was launched in 2020,  is used to administer therapeutics to selected sites, such as tumors.  The company is also developing immunotherapies to treat liver and pancreatic cancers.
