HONG KONG and SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 17, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SPI Energy Co., Ltd. ("SPI Energy" or the "Company") (NASDAQ: SPI), a global provider of renewable energy solutions and crypto-miner hosting services for residential, commercial and utility customers, today announced the completion of the $7.6 million private placement that was announced in January 2019. An aggregate of 6,600,000 shares were issued in the private placement, and no commissions or fees were paid in connection with the issuance of the ordinary shares. The net proceeds are expected to be used for expansion of SPI's global PV project activities and for working capital purposes.
