SXI - Standex acquires Minntronix for about $30 million

• Standex International Corporation ( NYSE: SXI ) on Monday said it has acquired privately-held, South Dakota-based Minntronix for about $30M in cash.
• The deal is being financed from Standex's existing cash balance, Standex said, adding that in its first year of ownership, it expects the deal to be accretive to its earnings and to achieve a double-digit return on invested capital.
• Minntronix designs and manufactures customized as well as standard magnetics components and products including transformers, inductors, current sensors and filters, which are used in applications across cable fiber, electric vehicles, and home security markets.
