Point72 Asset Management has disclosed a 5% stake in Tricida (TCDA), leading the San Francisco-based micro-cap pharmaceutical firm to gain ~5.7% in the post-market trading yesterday.The company with TRC101, a non-absorbed orally-administered polymer in its pipeline has received an investment of 2.5M shares from Point72, founded by notable fund manager Steven A. Cohen.In January, the small-cap biotech Kadmon Holdings gained amid reports of a 5.3% stake disclosed by Point72.
