With Thanksgiving now past, a young (or older) investor's mind turns to the key shopping season that started immediately afterward. While the hot deal epicenters have varied across retail and service sectors over the years, the attention paid to Black Friday this year by streaming-video rivals is the latest evidence that the need to gain and keep users has taken center stage in the streaming wars. Numerous providers are amping up their battle by taking it to price promotions for new subscribers.
