WTSHF - Strike ends at Canada's Westshore coal terminal
Strike actions have effectively ended at Westshore Terminals' (WTSHF) coal export terminal in British Columbia after the local union said it reached a tentative labor agreement.ILWU Local 502, which represents workers at the terminal, did not provide any details on the agreement in a statement issued on Saturday.Teck Resources (TECK), which uses the terminal as a key export center, said it was pleased to see the agreement had been reached; analysts had said a strike could limit Teck's ability to ship and sell steelmaking coal.Teck agreed to ship 5M-7M metric tons/year through Westshore in a deal announced in August.
