SYPR - Sypris Electronics Receives Contract for Deep Space Program

Sypris Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: SYPR) subsidiary Sypris Electronics LLC has received a follow on award from a US DoD prime contractor to manufacture and test electronic assemblies for a Government spacecraft program.  Production will begin in 2021 as terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The spacecraft will serve as an exploration vehicle that will transport the crew to space, sustain missions, provide safe re-entry from deep space return velocities and provide emergency abort capabilities.  The spacecraft will utilize advanced technology in communications, propulsion, life support, structural design, navigation and power.  Destinations include near Earth asteroids, the moons of Mars and the Moon, and soon Mars itself.
