FSTR - Taking A Small (Speculative) Position In L.B. Foster Company

It’s been over two years since I wrote that I was not optimistic about the immediate future for L.B. Foster Company ( FSTR ). Right on time, the shares started to climb in price. It’s been a rocky ride, with two significant drawdowns, but since I published my cautionary piece, the shares have returned about 61.5% against a gain of about 43% for the S&P 500 (SP500). I am sometimes overly cautious. Anyway, I’m going to review the name again, as the shares have generally been down since March and may be cheaply priced again. I’m going to decide whether or not I think it makes sense to buy by reviewing the financial results and by looking at the valuation of the stock....
