BMBL - Tale Of 2 Stories For Stock Markets This Week
It was a tale of two stories in stock markets this week. The first three days saw selling in risk assets, especially technology stocks, and the Nasdaq declined nearly 5%. On Thursday, things turned around and stocks rallied. At the time of this writing, the Dow was down about 1% for the week, with the Nasdaq Composite (COMP) off about 2%. The S&P 500 (SP500) is about 0.5% lower. Bitcoin (BTC) lost about 3.5%. Still, it was the fourth straight losing week for the Nasdaq, the first time that has happened since 2019. Winners & Losers Technology stocks were among the biggest losers. The MicroSectors FANG+ ETNs (FNGS) dropped almost 6% as FAANG names sold off. Facebook (FB) and Google (GOOG, GOOGL) were down about 5% each. Tesla (TSLA) shares dropped 14%. Alibaba (BABA) was down 9%, with Twitter (TWTR) down 7% and Nvdia (NVDA) off 6%. SPACs sold off,
