EQNR - TechnipFMC gets engineering & design study contract for Equinor's BM-C-33 Brazil project
- TechnipFMC ( NYSE: FTI ) has been awarded an integrated front end engineering and design study by a Brazilian unit of Equinor ( EQNR ) for an offshore project called BM-C-33.
- "The study will finalize the technical solution for the proposed gas and condensate greenfield development in the pre-salt Campos Basin before Equinor makes its final investment decision," FTI said in a statement on Tuesday.
- The study also includes an option for FTI to be directly awarded to proceed to the engineering, procurement, construction and installation phase of the project, which would be a major contract for FTI.
- TechnipFMC ( FTI ) ranks a "major" contract as valued over $1B.
- FTI stock earlier closed -7.5% at $6.14.
