Dr. Wu’s Background

Dr. Wu earned a BS in Physics from Beijing University.As a Ph.D. student at Brandeis University, he worked with Dr. DanielKopans at MGH developing the world's first DBT prototype and provedthe technical and clinical advantages through clinical studies. Hejoined Hologic as a principal medical physicist to develop commercialDBT and FFDM products. Later he was assigned by Hologic to promote DBTin the Asia Pacific region and manage operations in China. Afterleaving Hologic, Dr. Wu founded DART Imaging in China.

Dr. Wu’s distinctions include:

• - 2003: American Association of Physicists in Medicine(AAPM) Young Investigator Award

  - 2004: AAPM Sylvia Sorkin Greenfield Award for thebest paper published in Medical Physics

  - 2011: Serenity Award at Hologic for successfullydeveloping FFDM in China and obtaining CFDA approval.

  - 2019: German Red Dot Award for the design of DBTproduct “Soleil” with the DART Imaging team.

Dr. Wu also served as a member of the AAPM MammographySubcommittee, Tomosynthesis Task Group, and participated in developingFFDM quality control national standard in China.
