MCQEF - TotalEnergies joins Macquarie group to bid in Scottish offshore wind lease

4FR/E+ via Getty Images TotalEnergies ([[TTE]] -0.3%) says it will team with Macquarie's (MCQEF) Green Investment Group and Scotland's Renewable Infrastructure Development Group to bid for seabed rights to build wind farms off the Scottish coast. Total is joining with the group to bid into ScotWind, which will award new seabed acreage designed to spur up to 10 GW of development off the U.K. North Sea in one of the biggest opportunities currently available in global offshore wind. TotalEnergies and GIG previously teamed up on a 2 GW portfolio of planned floating wind projects off South Korea. Earlier this year, the two companies won rights to seabed rights off England and Wales to develop a 1.5 GW offshore wind project.
