TransAlta (TAC) and partner Tidewater Midstream & Infrastructure (TWMIF) agree to sell the Pioneer Pipeline to Canadian Utilities (CDUAF) subsidiary ATCO Gas and Pipelines for C$255M.The agreement replaces the previously announced sale of Pioneer Pipeline to TC Energy's (TRP) NOVA Gas Transmission.The 131-km natural gas pipeline runs from the Drayton Valley area to the Wabamun area west of Edmonton, Alberta.TransAlta also enters into additional long-term gas transportation agreements with NGTL for a total of new and existing transportation service of 400 tj/day by 2023.TransAlta "remains the Rodney Dangerfield of utilities" after navigating a difficult Q2, Trapping Value wrote in a recent analysis posted on Seeking Alpha.
