TRXC - TransEnterix changes name to Asensus Surgical

TransEnterix ([[TRXC]] +2.9%) has changed its corporate name to Asensus Surgical, Inc. with effect from Yesterday. The ticker symbol also changes with the company's stock set to begin trading at the open on March 5, under the new ticker symbol, NYSE American: ASXC. “As the company evolves from a robotics company to a digital surgery company, the rebrand better reflects our vision,” commented Anthony Fernando, CEO of TransEnterix. The stock that has more than trebled in value over the past 12-month period dropped in the post-market trading last month in response to the upsizing of the recent capital issuance.
