TRX - TRX Gold production rises as Tanzania plant capacity expands

TRX Gold (NYSE:TRX) +1.5% pre-market after reporting FQ3 gold production rose sequentially to 2,733 oz., beating guidance of 750-800 oz/month and setting a new record for the company, reflecting the first full quarter of its processing plant in Tanzania operating at full capacity. TRX Gold (TRX) said the plant expansion to more than 1,000 tons/day remains on budget and is scheduled for completion in calendar Q3 2022. "This is a great start towards our sustainable business plan of having early production fund organic development and growth, notably expansion of the processing plant and investment in other value enhancing activities including exploration in the Buckreef Main Zone, Buckreef West and the Anfield Zone," CEO Stephen Mullowney said. TRX Gold (TRX) recently changed its name from Tanzanian Gold.
