FB - Turkey launches antitrust probe into Facebook over new WhatsApp data terms

Antitrust regulators in Turkey have begun an investigation into Facebook (FB -2.9%) and its WhatsApp messaging, citing antitrust concerns over new usage terms. The board says it's halting application of the new terms of use, which will allow WhatsApp to share data with Facebook. That's sparking privacy concerns in Turkey. The move is effective Feb. 8; users will be required to agree to the new terms (which provide more targeted advertising) or lose access to their WhatsApp accounts.
