TKHVY - Turkish Airlines places order for 220 additional aircraft from Airbus

Turkish Airlines ( OTCPK:TKHVY ) on Friday announced the expansion of its fleet with the placing of an order for 220 new places from Airbus ( OTCPK:EADSF ).

The national carrier announced that it would buy 150 narrow-body A321 Neo aircraft in addition to 50 wide-body A350-900 jets, 15 A350-1000 planes, and five A350F cargo aircraft.

Additionally, the company said it would also procure engine maintenance services and spare parts for the A350 aircraft from Rolls-Royce.

The current order follows two orders from the airline for 10 A350-900s in September and four A350-900s in July 2023.

The latest order will take Turkish Airlines’ total orderbook for Airbus aircraft to 504, of which 212 are already delivered, said Airbus in a statement .
