While the fund may invest in securities with any maturity or duration, interest rate risk is managed by maintaining an effective duration of one year or less under normal market conditions. Duration is a reasonably accurate measure of a debt security's price sensitivity to changes in interest rates and a common measure of interest rate risk. A lower duration indicates a lower sensitivity to interest rates. The fund invests primarily in investment grade debt securities.
