Two former top European executives of Tesla (TSLA) are launching a $350M IPO for Ascendant Mobility Acquisition Corp. I, a SPAC that will focus on electric vehicles (EVs) or other transportation-related technologies.Peter Bardenfleth-Hansen and Jochen Rudat will serve as co-CEOs of Ascendant Mobility Acquisition Corp. I, which filed an S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for an initial public offering.Bardenfleth-Hansen formerly served as Tesla’s business-development director for the Europe/Middle East/Africa region. He currently serves on the boards of EV-related firms Volta Trucks and Zaptac, and also as chairman of Viggo, a Danish ride-hailing firm that uses an all-EV fleet.Rudat previously served as Tesla’s director for Central Europe, reporting directly to CEO Elon Musk.
