Receding glaciers have opened asignificant amount of untested ground at Deer Horn

Vancouver, BC, Canada – TheNewswire - August 10, 2023 –First Tellurium Corp. (CSE: FTEL ) , ( OTC: FSTTF ) (the “Company” or “First Tellurium”), reports thata team of graduate students from the University of British Columbiaand the University of St. Andrews (Scotland), under the direction ofFirst Tellurium consultant and Qualified Person (“QP”) Prof. LeeGroat, is conducting a property-wide mapping and sampling program atthe Company’s Deer Horn Property in west-central British Columbia.

“This is an extensive survey that will investigate alarge amount of untested ground,” said First Tellurium President andCEO Tyrone Docherty. “Previous exploration, both by FTEL and formerproperty holders, was confined largely to the Deer Horn vein system,recent copper porphyry discoveries and known showings of tungsten andmolybdenum. We are also testing a significant amount of new groundthat in the past was covered by glaciers.”

The mapping and sampling program will augmentprospecting and sampling conducted by Deer Horn in 2012, whichdiscovered several significant mineralized zones. As noted in theCompany’s 2018 Preliminary Economic Assessment:

“The new Saddle, New Vein, Pry Bar and New West zonesextend the overall strike length of the Deer Horn gold-silver veinsystem to more than 2,400 m, and it remains open to the west. TheH-Spot and Pond zones are new discoveries of porphyry-stylecopper+/-gold+/-silver mineralization and associated alteration. Theyare located at the head of the valley north of the Deer Horn adit and2.3 km west of Lindquist Peak in an area with no known explorationhistory. A second area of anomalous, porphyry-style copper-goldmineralization occurs on a ridge crest 1.8 km northwest of KenneyLake. All of the newly discovered showings warrant follow-upexamination.”
