NCR - UK antitrust watchdog opens comments for NCR's Cardtronics acquisition

The UK's Competition and Markets Authority has launched its merger inquiry into the anticipated acquisition by NCR (NCR) of Cardtronics (CATM) and has opened the period for comments from any interested parties, which closes on June 29.The CMA will decide whether or not the deal poses antitrust concerns by August 10.NCR agreed to acquire ATM operator and services provider Cardtronics in January for $39 per share, which was lower than the prior day's closing price at the time.
