EIHDF - UK white paper on gambling expected to be published soon - report

- The UK Gambling Commission's whitepaper on gambling has been finished and is now in the "write-round" process.
- The whitepaper is expected to be published shortly after the Easter parliamentary recess in the UK, which ends on April 17, according to a CTFN report on Tuesday, which cited an industry source.
- CTFN said in a January report that the publication of the long-delayed whitepaper could renew a potential Entain ( OTCPK:GMVHF ) takeover effort from MGM Resorts ( NYSE: MGM ). MGM in February saidh it won't pursue Entain or try to acquire the rest of BetMGM.
- Last month CTFN also speculated Entain ( OTCPK:GMVHF ), Flutter Entertainment ( OTCPK:PDYPY ) and 888 Holdings ( OTCPK:EIHDF ) could become potential takeover targets after the UK Gambling Commission's publishes its whitepaper .
- Flutter ( OTCPK:PDYPY ), which owns FanDuel in the U.S., could be another potential target after the white paper hits, according to CTFN speculation last month. Caesars Entertainment ( CZR ) could acquire FanDuel for a "hefty" premium or possibly purchase the entire gaming company.
