I feel conflicted about UMH, because it does have solid exposure to mobile home parks in the Rust Belt region of the US.
The core portfolio is growing nicely, and rents are going up.
But management has made some very poor decisions in the past with the REIT securities portfolio, and they have never admitted these decisions to have been mistakes.
Better options are available in the residential REIT space as well as among manufactured housing REITs.
