SAVE - United and Delta pace big drops in the airline sector
Airline stocks are down sharply as broad selling pressure in the market sweeps over the sensitive sector. Mesa Air ([[MESA]] -17.6%) is one of biggest decliners in the group after a Deutsche Bank downgrade. Other names trading weak include United Airlines ([[UAL]] -7.0%), Spirit Airlines ([[SAVE]] -6.8%), Hawaiian Holdings ([[HA]] -6.3%), American Airlines ([[AAL]] -6.1%), Allegiant Travel ([[ALGT]] -6.7%), Delta Airlines ([[DAL]] -5.1%) and Southwest Airlines ([[LUV]] -4.7%). The market took a turn lower amid some concerns on rising Treasury yields. Airline investors also have their eye on the energy market, where a 5% jump in crude oil prices today stands out.
