Calgary, AB - TheNewswire - October 12, 2023 - Universal Ibogaine Inc. ( TSXV:IBO ) (“ UI ” or the“ Company ”), a life sciences company with a mission to delivermedicalized ibogaine-centered addiction care, advises of the followingchanges to its Board of Directors, effective October 11, 2023:
UI has appointed two new members to serve on theCompany’s Board of Directors (the “ Board ”) to replacetwo Board members. Chief Ian Campbell and Anthony DeCristofaro havechosen to resign from the Company’s Board of Directors (the“ Board ”) in order to focus their time on family and otherbusiness opportunities. The Company thanks both Chief Campbell andMr. DeCristofaro for their significant past guidance and commitment tohelping UI in its formative stages.
James Duncan -Mr. Duncan is Director of Sales & Trading with Toronto basedIndependent Trading Group (ITG), and has been an active trader in theCanadian markets for 40 years, covering accounts from the EU, US andCanada, both retail and institutional. James has always been activein the trading community, serving Security Traders Associations(“ STA ”) across the country and was Chairman of the STA in theUnited States in 2004 as well as serving as chair of the CSTA inCanada. He founded the Bay Street Children’s foundation in 2000 andcurrently serves as its Chairman. James and his team have raisedmultiple millions for children’s charities in Toronto.
Dr. Dean Koumontzis - Dr. Koumontzis is an expert in orthopedic surgery andsports medicine with an emphasis on treating disorders of the elbow,shoulder and knee. He also serves as Director of the Bone HealthClinic at TOCA at Banner Health. He has been aninvited faculty member of prestigious institutions across the countryand has also served on many orthopedic and sports medicine committeesthroughout his career. His abstracts, manuscripts, and articles havebeen published in numerous scientific journals, magazines andtextbooks, and his lectures and presentations have gained national andinternational recognition. Dr. Koumontzis hasalso served as team physician and orthopedic consultant at ArizonaState University and has severalyears of non-profit Board experience, serving in a variety ofpositions. He is based in Scottsdale,Arizona, and is CEO of Bone Health Solutions, which createseducational web based platforms and clinical system managementsolutions.
