Calgary, AB – TheNewswire - June 7, 2023 – Universal Ibogaine Inc.( TSXV:IBO ) (“ UI ” or the “ Company ”), a life sciences company with amission to deliver medicalized ibogaine-centered addiction care,advises that it will not be closing its previously announced (see NewsRelease of March 30, 2023) agreement to sell its 20-acre undevelopedisland property located in Belize (the “ Property ”) for USD1,300,000 on June 15, 2023 as was scheduled.
The Purchaser, an arms-length Belize based party,advised at completion of their due diligence period that they were notyet in a position to release the initial USD 20,000 non-refundabledeposit, citing concerns with potential negative effects from theongoing US government’s debt ceiling issue, and its potential effecton the global economy.
UI continues to work with the Purchaser, which hasexpressed interest in a potential extension of their offer to purchasethe Property, and will provide a further update as more informationbecomes available.
