BCML - Update On The 7 Beautiful One-Branch Bank Stocks Featured In 2014
Since I wrote my July 2014 Seeking Alpha article: “7 Beautiful One-Branch Bank Stocks Entire Communities Can Bank On” not only have seven of the twelve highlighted banks have been acquired, but the acquiring bank of two of them – Pacific Continental Corp – was itself acquired, as shown in the first table below.
As predicted, this particular group of 12 one-branch banks outpaced the KBW Bank Stock Index. The average gain for the seven One-Branchers that sold was 154%, and the average gain in those five that remain independent was 60%.
