VXRT - Vaxart shares surge as key board members resign

Vaxart ([[VXRT]] +25.5%) is continuing the rally for the second trading session in a row, even after two board members from a New York hedge fund resigned Thursday.Steven Boyd and Keith Maher of Armistice, which made a fortune from its pre-pandemic investment in Vaxart, have left the company citing their "time and energy should be focused on other Armistice commitments" given the fund’s less than 1% stake in Vaxart.Since accumulating Vaxart shares in September 2019, Armistice once became its largest shareholder in 2019.This week, Vaxart is likely to release data from the Phase 1 trial for its COVID-19 vaccine, which showed encouraging pre-clinical data last week.
