VWDRY - Vestas confirms 'largest ever' onshore wind order in Brazil deal

Vestas Wind Systems ( OTCPK:VWDRY ) said Thursday it signed an agreement with Brazilian developer Casa dos Ventos to supply turbines for two wind power projects with a combined capacity of 1.3 GW, which Vestas said is it " largest ever onshore order ."
The company said it will supply, install and operate 168 of its V150-4.5MW turbines at the 756 MW Serra do Tigre project in Brazil's Rio Grande do Norte state and another 123 machines of the same model for the 554 MW Babilonia project in Bahia state.
Delivery for both projects is estimated to begin in Q3 2024, with commissioning expected to start in Q1 2025.
Following the latest order, Vestas ( OTCPK:VWDRY ) has secured nearly 10 GW order intake in Brazil.
Vestas ( OTCPK:VWDRY ) also said it received an order from Argentine power company Genneia to supply turbines for its 162 MW La Elbita wind farm project.
