VIAV - Viavi +2.3% after CFO resignation upbeat preliminary numbers
Viavi Solutions (VIAV) is up 2.3% postmarket after a news sandwich combining preliminary results for the quarter with word that its chief financial officer is departing. It's accepted the resignation of Amar Maletira as CFO, effective last Friday. He's leaving to pursue a new opportunity, and not as the result of a dispute or disagreement with Viavi on operations, policies or practices. He'll depart Nov. 20; the company has named Global Controller Pam Avent to serve as interim CFO. It's also reporting preliminary Q3 revenue of $282M-$284M (above consensus for $2714M) and EPS of $0.18-$0.19 (above consensus for $0.15). The company is set to report after the close on Nov. 5.
