VMD - Viemed on the rise following $2M investment in ModoHealth

• Viemed ( NASDAQ: VMD ) is trading around +5% on Thursday after it announced a $2M strategic investment in value-based care and patient management platform ModoHealth.
• ModoHealth connects payors, patients, and post-acute providers. It will use the proceeds to fund expansion of its proprietary patient management network.
• Viemed received an 18-month secured convertible promissory note in exchange for its cash investment. It will also take part in the ModoHealth provider network and use the ModoHealth software platform to improve patient engagement.
• Viemed expects to treat patients in the ModoHealth network for COPD, sleep apnea, and other respiratory conditions, providing its in-home medical equipment and post-acute respiratory healthcare services.
