VRTS - Virtus Investment Partners AUM shrinks 2.2% in February

• Virtus Investment Partners ( NASDAQ: VRTS ) on Thursday reported preliminary assets under management of $154.3B as of February 28, down 2.2% from the previous month.
• The company provided services to $2.5B of other fee-earning assets, which are not included in AUM.
• Open-end funds AUM totaled $54.26B, down 3.1% sequentially, while closed-end funds AUM fell 3.9% to $10.27B.
• Retail separate accounts AUM was flat from the prior month at $37.74B, while institutional accounts AUM shrank 2.6% to ~$52B.
• Earlier, Virtus ( VRTS ) reported January-end AUM of $157.8B .
