VRTS - Virtus Investment Partners AUM up 4.8% in April

• Virtus Investment Partners ( NASDAQ: VRTS ) on Tuesday reported preliminary assets under management of $162.22B as of April 30, up 4.8% from the earlier month.
• The company provided services to $2.6B of other fee-earning assets, which are not included in AUM.
• Open-end funds AUM grew 4.3% from March to $56.19B and closed-end funds AUM totaled $10.40B, up 0.4% sequentially.
• Retail separate accounts AUM slipped 0.3% M/M to $37.30B, while institutional accounts AUM increased 9.6% to $58.33B.
• Earlier, Virtus Investment ( VRTS ) reported Q1 adj. earnings above expectations.
