APO - Vista Equity planned acquisition of Avalara said to include $2.5B in financing (update)

- Private equity firm Vista Equity's planned purchase of Avalara ( NYSE: AVLR ) is said to include about $2.5 billion in financing, according to CNBC's David Faber.
- Earlier Monday Vista Equity agreed to buy tax software provider Avalara ( AVLR ) for $93.50/share in cash , or $8.4 billion including debt.
- A group of private equity lenders led by Blue Owl Capital Inc. ( OWL ) agreed to provide a $2.5 billion loan to finance the takeover of Avalara ( AVLR ), according to traders, who cited a Bloomberg report. Apollo Global ( APO ) and HPS Investment Partners also part of the financing.
- Avalara ( AVLR ) shares fell 3.7% after the shares have surged since early last month after after a StreetInsider report that the tax software provider is said to had been approached about a takeover from Vista Equity.
