With the classic 80's and 90's lineup of Angelo Moore (Vocals, Sax, Theramin), John Norwood Fisher (Bass, Vocals), Walter "Dirty Walt" Kibby (Vocals, Trumpet), Phillip "Fish" Fisher (Drums), John Bigham (Guitar), and Chris Dowd (Keyboards, Trombone, Vocals) now firmly in place after more than twenty years, Fishbone is on a mission to reclaim their rightful spot amongst the most elite and influential bands to come from LA in decades. 2018 is proving to be the year of a major return for Fishbone with a full touring schedule including headline dates, festivals, and shows in The Netherlands, Japan and UK.
Founded in 1979, Fishbone set the ska/punk standard with their 1983 self-titled release which included fan favorites "Party at Ground Zero," and "Ugly." Their 1988 groundbreaking, genre-defying and critically acclaimed full length "Truth and Soul" took the band to extraordinary heights and began their undeniable influence on dozens of bands to come. Fishbone has since released nine albums, and in 2010, a critically acclaimed documentary written and directed by Lev Anderson and Chris Metzler, and narrated by actor Laurence Fishburn, entitled "Everyday Sunshine: The Story of Fishbone." The documentary was released and premiered at the 2010 Los Angeles Film Festival and rekindled a spark in Fishbone devotees the world over.
