VXUS - VXUS: Past Performance Is No Guarantee Of Future Results

• For some time now, foreign stocks have underperformed their U.S. counterparts. This is the case not only recently, but for the last decade.
• In the course of researching the causes of this underperformance, I ran across an interesting Vanguard white paper that offered some helpful insights.
• The more relevant question, of course, is: How will they fare going forward? It appears there may be solid basis for optimism.
• I argue that you should have at least some allocation to foreign stocks at this point, and VXUS is a world-class ETF with which to do so.
